Bionow is the leading membership organisation in the North of England and is wholly focused upon the needs of life science and healthcare businesses. Bionow supports the development of the life sciences / healthcare biomedical cluster both locally and across the UK. We are particularly focused upon maintaining the significant growth of the biomedical cluster in the North which we have seen over the past 10 years from both the development of indigenous business and by leading the UK in biomedical FDI.
Having successfully led the establishment of Bionow Ltd in 2011 as a standalone company after it was previously been hosted by NWDA I have since overseen a merger with Cels Ltd to move to a North of England geography and significantly increased the profile, services and coverage of Bionow.
In addition to engagement with member companies across the UK, I have a strong focus on business development and identification of new products and services for our members. I am also focused on developing and maintaining strategic links and relationships with national and international organisations to develop opportunities for our members.
I joined the Bionow team in July 2007 as Sector Development Manager for the biomedical cluster progressing to lead the team in 2009 as Sector Head Biomedical for NWDA. Prior to this I was founder of Biorite Ltd., a spin-out company from the University of Manchester, which merged to form Advanced Biomedical Ltd. in 2003 where I was Technical Director.
