CRAIG GRANT

Global Director, Solid Form & Particle Engineering, Johnson Matthey

Craig Grant is an experienced life science executive with a proven track record of building successful teams and developing and implementing emerging technologies.

Craig has a Ph.D. in structural inorganic chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and over 20 years experience in the Health and Pharmaceutical industry working for a range of service-based (Cambridge Combinatorial, Exova, Solid Form Solutions) and pharma companies (Millennium).
His expertise includes an in-depth understanding of all facets of solid form chemistry, a broad knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development as well as operational acumen gained through site director and general management roles.

In 2003, he co-founded Pharmorphix® Ltd which was acquired by Sigma-Aldrich in 2006 and later by Johnson Matthey in 2015. During 2003 – 2011 he held various director-level roles whilst overseeing significant growth in the business from an initial eight people.

In 2017, he joined Johnson Matthey and is currently Global Director for Solid Form and Particle Engineering under the Pharmorphix® brand within Johnson Matthey and is based in Cambridge, U.K.
