DAN PEARCE

Vice President, European Manufacturing & Technical Operations, Adaptimmune

Dan is Vice President of European Manufacturing for Adaptimmune, responsible for the manufacture of lentivirus (used for ex vivo modification of autologous cells at Adaptimmune’s facility in Philadelphia) and iPSC-derived allogeneic enhanced Tcells, both in the UK. He has worked for Adaptimmune for 4 years, previously as Senior Director of UK Quality. Prior to joining Adaptimmune, Dan was Global Director of Supplier Quality Assurance for Catalent Pharma Solutions partnering with Procurement on risk reduction in the supply chain. He has also worked in Quality Assurance for a UK pharmaceutical distribution company, and spent nearly 10 years manufacturing aseptic dosage forms for Patheon (now Thermo Fisher).

Being part of the CMC leadership of a cell & gene therapy company utilising various investment and subcontracting models to achieve successful batch output, Dan is experienced in when and how an organisation can consider future capital investment, and how Government policy and support can influence decisions.
