HANNAH WADE

Head of Investor Partnerships, CPI

Hannah is Head of Investor Partnerships at CPI, a leading independent technology innovation centre and a founding member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult. She is also the COO of CPI Enterprises, CPI’s investor engagement and ventures arm.

She graduated with a 2:1 LLB hons law degree from Leeds University and completed her legal practice course at Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett). She qualified as a lawyer in 2006 and, prior to joining CPI’s in house legal team in 2015, she spent six years in private practice at an international law firm acting for a number of global insurance companies. During her role as Principal Solicitor at CPI, Hannah drafted and negotiated a variety of complex, high value contracts, including framework agreements, construction contracts, grant funding agreements and collaboration agreements. She now focuses on building and maintaining relationships with investors, primarily early stage investors in biotech, medtech and cleantech, and providing funding support to early stage technology companies. She also sits on CPI Enterprises’ Investment Committee chaired by Tim Cockroft, CEO of leading investment bank N+1 Singer, and manages CPI Enterprises’ investment portfolio.
