Global Vice President, Health Sciences (Acting) | NSF

Heather Howell has led regional and global Medical Devices programs within our Health Sciences business since 2016. In these roles, Heather and her team provided expert consultation and training services, bringing regulatory risk reduction and improving patient safety outcomes to the Medical Device industry. She has worked tirelessly to expand and innovate NSF’s Medical Device industry training programs, offering customized and innovative solutions to help clients comply with the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Prior to joining NSF, Heather worked for 28 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), developing critical patient safety and risk communication strategies and building industry and patient advocacy and education programs. Heather held several leadership positions at the FDA, her final as a Deputy Director in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), where she implemented a robust risk-benefit communication program. Heather is based in Washington D.C.
