JAMES ZHANG

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Phoenix DX

My name is James Zhang, was born in Xian, the most antient capital city of China. I got my first degree in clinical medicine from the Medical School of Xian Jiaotong University in 1985, and then start my 8 years physician career in the third hospital of Peking University.

In 1994 I accepted the offer from Gonville & Caius College of University Cambridge for the three years PhD degree study in the area of molecular genetics and clinical pharmacology. Then a couple of years research posts as Post-Doc and research Fellow in ACCI (Addenbrooke’s Centre for Clinical Investigation) of Cambridge University and Imperial College.

I am co-founder of Phoenix DX Ltd which was set up in 2014. I am chief executive officer currently. The Phoenix DX is a medical diagnostic company, focus on rapid POC medical device development. We have a small and motivated biologists and engineers team. Our fully automatic IVD device and the rapid pathogens detecting kit has won THE PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARDS of BioNow awards 2020. We welcome all kind of WIN-WIN collaborations.

I am also a broad member of World Association of Chinse Doctors (WACD) and Chairman of Overseas Chinese Society for Technology & Busines in UK (OCSTAB).
