JOSH WINTERSGILL

Founder, Able Move

Josh Wintersgill is a multi-talented and highly successful young British entrepreneur, aspiring Paralympian and founder of Able Move Ltd.

Born in 1993, Josh has been successful from a young age. Aged 24, (2018) he won the UK Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs for start-up business, for which he invented  “AbleMove”. His product enables wheelchair users to transfer with more safety, dignity and comfort when getting transferred in and out of their wheelchairs to an aircraft seat. This is now recognised by major airlines, including EasyJet. He also won the Great British Young Entrepreneur Awards 2019.

Away from running his own company, Josh also advises the UK travel industry on access and inclusivity, including major airports. Currently Josh is re-branding AbleMove as a company that provides transfer products and accessories for day-to-day use, whether that be at home, work, school, sport and leisure activities or holidays.

He is an active advocate for disabled travellers around the world, and is advisor for a Global Accessibility Aviation Working group.
Josh holds an Honorary Masters from University of West England (UWE) in Technology. Josh also works as a young support volunteer for Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK.

In his spare time, he trains to hopefully compete for Great Britain in air rifle at the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
