Karin has over 25 years’ experience from working both in the US and the UK with a sustained track record of successful leadership roles within the life sciences, biotech and therapeutic industries at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Exelixis, Inc., Thermo Fisher Scientific, Horizon Discovery Group plc and PredictImmune Ltd.

As an early employee, she has also played a pivotal role in a number of start-up companies, nurturing enterprise and delivering exponential growth. Karin’s work has a strong customer focus and she has brought over 20 innovative products to market internationally, across a wide scientific spectrum, with a recent emphasis on clinical products.

She combines her deep scientific expertise with success in commercial roles and has additional experience in manufacturing, legal, and regulatory pathways. Karin obtained her PhD in molecular biology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, followed by three years of post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge as an EMBO fellow.

Karin is passionate about science, education and innovation, dedicating her time to supporting and mentoring early-career scientists. In connection with Cambridge University, she provides guidance for students on how to commercialize interesting technologies and inventions.
