KRISTIN POLMAN

Dr Kristin Shine Polman is the founder of Shine Consulting, a London-based digital health consultancy. Working with partners across Europe, the US and Asia, Kristin helps life sciences companies understand the rapidly changing digital health landscape and form strategic partnerships with innovative digital health start-ups. She also works with start-ups to help them develop new products, access new markets and build roadmaps to commercialisation. She was part of the early team at Babylon, was Chief Medical Officer of BioBeats (acquired by Huma, April 2020) and currently leads multiple pharmaceutical workstreams for Upstart Breakthrough Strategy. She has won Innovate UK grants, is currently an assessor of Innovate UK grant applications and has designed and run international innovation competitions for Cambridge University across India, Tanzania and West Africa.

Prior to her work in digital health, Kristin spent four years in corporate communications with Brunswick Group, where she

worked with public and private companies on critical communications issues including capital raising, M&A, digital strategy development, stakeholder engagement, internal communications and crisis preparedness. Nobtable life sciences clients included AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Amgen, GE Healthcare and McKesson.

Kristin holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and a BA in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
