NEIL JONES

Chief Business Officer, Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre

Neil was appointed Chief Business Officer in March 2021. Prior to joining VMIC, he spent just over 4 years as Director of Business Development – Europe, for Catalent Pharma Solutions, where he built and led a team, focused on the development of relationships with customers needing support with early phase development programmes.

Before Catalent, Neil was Senior Director of Global Business Management for the European region of Patheon Pharmaceuticals, now a ThermoFisher Scientific company. In this role, Neil was responsible for client relationship management and new product introductions across 5 finished products sites, covering both sterile and non-sterile dosage forms.

In addition to these roles, Neil has worked in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years, holding increasing positions of responsibility including, Product Development, Quality Control, Manufacturing Operations, Marketing and Key Account Management. Neil received his BSc. in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
