NICK CLARKE

Principal Advisor, Eastern Academic Health Science Network

Nick Joined Eastern Academic Health Science Network in February 2020 where he leads the National Programme portfolio in the Delivery Team, including a large CVD prevention programme. Nick has over 15 years in Health Improvement with the last 10 of those at a senior management level within Public and population health.

He has held positions at national (Public Health England), regional (DHSC) and local Government levels (NHS and Local Authority), across a range of leadership roles inclusive of commissioning, portfolio development, project and programme management, consultation, and policy guidance. In 2019 Nick, whilst in his role at PHE as National government Programme Manager for Physical Activity, advised the Government on key lifestyle policies and evidence and became a Kings Fund Leadership for Population Health fellow.

His role at the AHSN means he can now apply this experience and knowledge to how innovation, health tech and partnership working can help to improve patient and health care professional outcomes and importantly how we successfully and sustainably implement academia, policy and evidence into practice.
