PHIL KUNOVSKI

Chief Technology Officer, Kymira

As KYMIRA’s CTO, I lead the R&D into new e-textile platforms for wearable technologies for sports, fitness and medical markets.

I hold a first-class (hons) Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and Cybernetics, as well as a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Reading. My research expertise is in wireless power transfer for wearable monitoring solutions, investigating cutting-edge textile-based technologies for the wearables industry.

I have skills in product development from initial concept through to prototyping, testing, design for manufacture, writing and licensing of patents, production and marketing. I also have project management and business development experience, and have training in PRINCE2, Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.

As early as 2012, I’ve been a co-founder & company director of Entangle Ltd, a prototype and consulting company, which has previously developed mobile accessories product Ampfly, launched in 2015 and winning several awards and media recognition on Sky News, BBC Business as well as a co-branding deal with MTV shortly after launch.
