Director, Project-Ion

With a diverse background in large pharma and biotech companies, Simon leads the successful technical and strategic development of novel compounds, delivery routes and devices.

In addition, he has gained 25 years of experience in the development of small molecules, biologics, and cell/gene therapy products. Which has included roles within analytical, formulation, material sciences, supply chain, outsourcing and project management.

Simon has experience from pre-clinical to Phase III, including commercial, on multiple projects. Which have included viral vectors, RNA, mAb and cell and gene therapies

He has proven success in the development of innovative strategies, technical input, and the delivery of projects to key milestones. A proven leader of global, multidisciplinary teams in CMC, and matrix management of wider cross discipline R&D teams.

Simon has enjoyed a range of CMC positions in Upjohn, Pfizer, Vertex & Adaptimmune. And currently, as a Director of Project-Ion Ltd, has supported and supports multiple biotech and non-profit organizations with the development of their projects as small molecules, biologics and cell/gene therapies.
