Ian Anderson

Global Senior Principal Scientist, Global Biologics, Lonza

Ian earned both his BSc (Biochemistry) and PhD (Breast cancer cell signaling) at the University of Liverpool, followed by post-doctoral research at University College London focused on HIV research using model lentiviral vectors. Ian has over 10 years industrial CMC experience working for SGS M-Scan, Allergan, AbbVie and Pharmaron gene therapy, focusing on analytical characterization and control strategies for numerous complex recombinant proteins, NME and AAV from pre-clinical through to commercial stages. Ian is currently a Global Senior Principal Scientist at Lonza within the Global Biologics organization.
