Jim McHugh
Director, Global Device Development, Viatris
Jim McHugh has over 16 years experience in pharmaceutical research and development. He joined Viatris Ireland as a Director within the Global Device Development group from Emergent BioSolutions (formerly Adapt Pharma) where he held the position of Senior Manager Drug Development.
At Viatris, Jim is responsible for the Device and Product Performance of Injectables and Technology. This includes all areas of combinational product development in line with design controls / regulatory requirements.
Jim has significant experience in the management of international drug development and product life cycle management programmes with multinational pharma leading to successful NDA filings and market launch.
Mr McHugh holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology (Hons) from NUI Maynooth, an M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Technology and a H.Dip in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He is also a member of the ISO/NSAI Experts Committee.
