Kevin Wright

Technical Director, Corporate QA- Industrial Microbiology, Procter & Gamble

Kevin’s primary focus has been in the application and measurement of Microbiology to product design, manufacture and quality release for P&G in the consumer goods industry. Having worked in range of R&D roles spanning Health, Beauty and Home care, his current assignment is in Industrial Microbiology- where the combination of his 27+ years experience is enabling P&G to better measure and manage microbiology in E2E manufacturing from raw materials to finished- in market product. Most recently this has involved understanding how rapid microbiological measurement technologies can be integrated into the supply chain- spanning novel and `off the shelf` technologies, material failure mode understanding and how to integrate these into a digital quality reporting structure. Kevin is a technical lead for the ARGUS 2 initiative (Innovate UK Project 10022456) which looks to measure microbiology in real time and integrate these data in an E2E connected digital quality system,

He is not alone in this endeavor, partnering with Academia, SME’s and cross industry groups (PharMiG, Parenteral Drug Association, M2C2, Kilmer collaboration), communicating via co-authored publications, posters, regular presentations at conferences. Kevin is a co-lead and member of the Kilmer Rapid Microbiology Methods, the PDA Technical Report revision team (TR33 Rapid Microbiological methods) and is currently a panel member of the UKRI Appointments board.
