Senior business manager, LifeArc

Steven is a senior business manager at LifeArc and is responsible for managing and implementing the new Innovation Hubs for Gene Therapy funded by LifeArc, The MRC and BBSRC. Innovation Hubs for Gene Therapy are new Innovation Hubs for Gene Therapy to ease the bottleneck in GMP manufacturing for academic research. The hubs will provide access to GMP AAV and Lentivirus vectors as well as supporting academic research projects along the translation path and providing a focus for expertise accessible to industry and academia. Steven has a background in neuroscience research, particularly Multiple Sclerosis. Following a research career he has extensive experience of translating academic research to patient benefit at LifeArc, and previously at the University of Edinburgh. Other major themes for his work at LifeArc are focused on delivering translation processes for the UK Dementia Research Institute and development more efficient pathways to repurpose drugs.
