HENRI LOUW

HR Director, AbbVie

Henri is currently HR Director for AbbVie’s UK organisation. Born, raised and qualified in South Africa, he started his career in generalist HR roles in telecommunications, before spending some time in business consulting for the petro-chemical industry. He then moved into HR Business Partnering in the pharmaceutical industry. Joining Abbott in 2009, he led HR for Abbott’s South Africa and Sub-Saharan operation, prior to the creation of AbbVie in 2013, where he fulfilled a similar role. In 2015, he relocated to Dubai to lead HR for AbbVie across the Middle-East and Africa before moving to his present role in 2017. An organisational psychologist by training, he has a deep interest in the human condition and all thing people related, with a specific passion for talent management and leadership development.
