Ian Allan is the Managing Director of Digital Technologies Group (DTG), a digital translation company providing digital/automation strategy development and lifecycle management services to the Life Science industry.
DTG aim to introduce a transformational change in productivity and culture by enabling more enhanced connectivity, performance visualisation of production systems and application of digital solutions. Ian is also the Chief Technology Officer for Lakes BioScience, a fully digital facility providing biopharma scientific research, development and bulk manufacturing. Ian has formed a unique collaboration with key solution providers to develop a digital applications blue print for a new CDMO facility.
Ian has over 35 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical, Biologics and Vaccine manufacturing, specialising in automation and digital vision, strategy and implementation. He previously worked as the Global Head of Automation for GSK for 10 years across all divisions before moving to Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics as Global Head of Automation & Manufacturing and Execution Systems driving a DCS and MES implementation programme.
