Chief Executive Officer, RxCelerate

Until December 2011, I was an academic in the Department of Medicine, at the University of Cambridge having completed my PhD. at the National Heart and Lung Institute in London. I have been involved in the development of novel anti-inflammatory drugs both within the University as a Senior Research Associate and as part of Funxional Therapeutics as Head of Biology.

In January 2012 I joined Total Scientific, a Contract Research Organisation which specialises in providing biomarker-related services to the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and academic communities. My role within Total Scientific is to head up a new department, which offers a preclinical drug development service to the wider biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Total Scientific recently split its operations into two and I now head up the preclinical team in a separate company, called RxCelerate.
