Chief Executive Officer, Eastern AHSN

Piers is Chief Executive of Eastern AHSN, whose purpose is to turn great ideas into positive health impact. It seeks to achieve this by advising and working alongside industry, academia and the NHS to increase the adoption of innovative products and solutions into the health and care system in the East of England. Piers is also the Chair of the AHSN Network, the group of 15 organisations which together employ over 700 specialist staff and act as the main innovation arm of the NHS by seeking to identify and spread health innovation at pace and scale.

Piers was formerly a Partner at KPMG, where he held a variety of roles including leading the firm’s healthcare management consulting practice. He is an experienced advisor to boards and also led a team at NHS Test and Trace last year to identify and implement a range of innovative technologies in diagnostic testing. Piers is also a Board member of the Accelerated Access Collaborative and regular speaker at health and tech conferences. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), having trained and qualified with KPMG.
