Clare Jacklin

Chief Executive, National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS)

Clare has worked for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society since 2007 and in June 2019 took over as CEO from NRAS founder, Ailsa Bosworth, MBE.
Clare is committed to developing the society’s services to ensure that the support that people with RA or JIA require continues to be provided and that the patient voice of people living with these conditions is heard loud and clear.

Clare has served in a consultancy capacity on many advisory boards for many stakeholders working in the field of immunology and rheumatology. She has represented NRAS and UK rheumatology patients at events across the UK as well as at speaking engagements across Europe, USA and Dubai.

Clare is successfully leading the patient organisation through these turbulent times of the COVID pandemic when all charities are under immense strain while playing a vital role in supporting those living with auto-immune conditions and their healthcare teams.

NRAS (National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society) is the only UK charity focussing specifically on supporting those living with rheumatoid arthritis and in more recent years also those living with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
