Jim McGuire

Jim has about 30 years in healthcare, biotech, medtech, with experience  in management, commercialisation, raising spin-out capital, regulatory pathways, product and manufacturing development, project management and IP. Originally qualified and worked in clinical and molecular microbiology Jim also has experience in medtech and life science start-ups. Most recently CEO of company developing a novel therapeutic and diagnostic for use in acute stroke and other indications, prior to that was CEO of an NHS spin-out developing innovative surgical devices from concept to market, including regulatory approval in Europe, USA, Australia and Asia. Jim has also held senior roles in medtech, innovation and regulatory consultancy, including several Director roles. He is currently a Grand Challenge Lead at CPI’s MMIC facility.
