Matthew McLoughlin

Matthew has worked as a strategy consultant in the life sciences industry for over 15 years. After leading the Advisory business at Kinapse he founded Synetic Life Sciences. Synetic is a consulting firm focused on the life sciences industry, predominantly partnering with biopharmaceutical companies to optimise their operating models.

His work spans all areas of Research & Development and he has worked extensively on developing more patient centric approaches across Pharma companies. The latter included running industry fora on how processes and operating models could be more patient focused. He has also worked extensively on strategic initiatives and operating models across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Safety, Regulatory, and Quality and Compliance. Current areas of focus include the operationalisation of more patient centric decentralised clinical trials.

Prior to a career in management consulting Matthew enjoyed several years as a Veterinary Surgeon in mixed practices as well as spending time in biotech. He also has an MBA from Henley Business School.
