Robert Peeling
Technical Services Director, Britest
Rob Peeling has been a chemical engineer since graduation in Manchester in 1983, working in roles covering research and development, process engineering design, process safety and operations management in a number of sectors of the process industries. His experience includes developing high power thermal plasma heaters, refining processes for platinum group metals and catalytic processes for Tioxide, ICI and Johnson Matthey.
After leaving Johnson Matthey in 2016 he joined Britest and is now the Technical Services Director.
With Britest he has been working with companies, largely in the pharmaceutical sector, helping them capture their process understanding to better assess technology transfer and scale-up risks, and to solve manufacturing and quality problems. He provides training on a range of process understanding related topics. Rob Peeling is Chair of the IChemE’s Congress ensuring that the voice of the membership is heard in developing the Institutions policies and strategies.
